Retaining walls and landscaping in Brisbane's east

Retaining walls, fences, earthworks and landscaping in Carindale, Belmont, Cannon Hill, Camp Hill, Bulimba, Mansfield, Mount Gravatt and Holland Park.

Older homes and sloping streets

Brisbane's eastern suburbs are full of sloping streets, older homes and tight side access. All of these suburbs are Brisbane City Council.

A lot of our work here is replacing old timber or brick walls that have started to lean, often with a new fence on top. Our 1.7 tonne excavator gets down most side paths, which matters in suburbs like Camp Hill, Bulimba and Holland Park.

Renovations and new builds also need earthworks and retaining before landscaping, and we can do all three.

Questions

Questions from Brisbane East

If yours isn't here, give us a call.

Can you replace an old leaning wall?

Yes. We remove the old wall, fix the drainage and build a new one, with engineering and approval if it's needed.

Do I need council approval for a retaining wall in Brisbane?

Usually yes if the wall is over 1 metre high, sits within 1.5 metres of a building or another wall, or holds up extra load like a driveway, pool or shed. Those walls need RPEQ engineering and building approval. Lower walls can still be affected by easements, sewer lines and overland flow. We'll check this when we come out, and organise the drawings and approval if you need them.

How much does a retaining wall cost in Brisbane?

It depends on height, length, wall type, site access, soil and whether engineering is needed. We'll come out, have a look and give you a free written quote.
