Bayside yards range from flat, sandy blocks near the water to sloping blocks further back in Wakerley and Gumdale. All of these suburbs are in Brisbane City Council, so retaining wall approvals follow Brisbane's rules.
Near the water, salt air is hard on steel and timber, so we choose posts, fixings and fences that suit the coast. Some low-lying streets sit in flood or storm tide areas, which can affect what you're allowed to build, and we check this before quoting.

Do you charge more to come out?
No. Site visits and quotes are free, and the Bayside is right on our doorstep.
Do I need council approval for a retaining wall in Brisbane?
Usually yes if the wall is over 1 metre high, sits within 1.5 metres of a building or another wall, or holds up extra load like a driveway, pool or shed. Those walls need RPEQ engineering and building approval. Lower walls can still be affected by easements, sewer lines and overland flow. We'll check this when we come out, and organise the drawings and approval if you need them.
